Time to get Back to America

It is Tuesday January 8th and we are all packed and ready to go. All the important documents and paper work is with us and the kids are in tow. We get there by shuttle bus and and wait in the line for about 1/2 hour maybe. When we get to the guy checking our bags he asks for the 1/2 sheets of papers that we filled out on the plane on the way into Mexico.You can't leave without them he emphasizes......UH......what papers? We remembered filling them out on the plane, but nobody told us we needed them anymore. The blood in Wayne's face drained out and he looked at me and said do we know where we packed them ? I start shaking, I'm like OMGosh I have no idea where they could be. So I lay out all 5 suite cases and got our stuff all in view and searching pockets and and zippers and going thru reciepts. WELL ALAS, we find them after a terrifing 5 minutes.

We zip everything back up and make it to the plane without a hitch. Blood comes back to wayne's face and my shakes subside . YEAH BACK TO THE US!!

Well not so fast we still have to get thru security in Philly. We get there and feeling very grateful to be in America again. The signs are flashing that we have to go collect our bags at such and such turnstyle,blah blah blah. Well When we go to get our bags there is like this total seperate thing you have to go thru before you get your luggage all 10 lines look about a mile long. Panic sets in cause we have only and 1hr and 1/2 layover until our puddle jummper to allentown airport takes off.So we are in this line for like ever. After getting thru that we go get all of our luggage turn a corner and there is this ginormous line cause all the luggage has to be re-xrayed so we wait and wait and finally get thru. Off goes our bags. We are now on our way into another long line to get thru security .People are pissed off and getting loud with security, the stress level was very high formany people in line,there was this baby crying poeple are loud and irritated!Anyways they exray all our carry ons and we have to take off our shoes and belts and whatever. SO after that we are briskly walking, we have 15 minutes to get to our gate. We are going and going we get to the end of one hallway and the sign at the end says our gate this way----> we do this 3 times. We aren't getting there, it feels like the movie the Labrinth. We have 5 minutes left and some guy is listning to us talk and he says oh you have to take a bus over to that gate cause it's to far to walk to. WHAT? we ask ARE YOU KIDDING???He's like nope,I need to get over there myself you can follow me ,the signs say shuttle this way so we follow!!! There is the bus and we make the 5 minute trek to the gate we need and we are running, we see our gate we slow to a speed walk and then slow to a brisk walk. They are boarding! We made it just in time!!!!! We board this 9 row 4 seats across plane, mind you we just came off of a 34 row and 7 seats across huge plane. I am nervous. Never ever have been on a plane this small. So we sit and come to find out the plane can't take off until this pilot that they are transporting to allentown gets there. We waited for fourttty fiiiive MMMIINNNNUTES.AGHHHHH!!! ^#&**&*^%%#$$ Are you kidding me? ALL that stress!!!!!
Well we take off and the plane is bobbing up and down and swaying left to right, you can feel every little movement,unlike the big ones, and I have a clear view of the propeller spinning and you can hear and feel the very loud hum of it spinning around. When we get in the air it was so beautiful because they don't go up as high as the big planes .We stayed under the clouds and you can see all the city lights and stadiums,buildings and cars. It was just cool. Well we land safe and sound in Allentown and boy are we really feeling at home and at ease.After following signs to collect our luggage ,to our suprise on arrival .......they have lost one of our bags. AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! A perfect ending to a perfect day!!!! so we have to report it and do all that stuff. UGH

Well Kenny a friend of ours is waiting for us in the parking lot with our vehicle. AHHH onto home sweet home. ON our way we stop at our friend Judy's to pick up a fury little feline that was a gift for Amber. Her name is Minnie,shocker huh? She is so stinkin cute isn't she? Well she meowed the whole way home 1hr and and change. PLus we had to stop at a store and get food and litter. We ended up not getting home until 12:30amWhat a long day....... Well the next day it's back to the grind.

Xel-Ha

We did Xel-Ha (shell-ha) the day we went to Tulum all of our pictures are in a water proof camera that I can not post on here. Actually I still haven't developed because the roll isn't finished yet.but I am giving you a link so you can check out Xel-Ha for yourselves. Look at it after you read this http://www.xel-ha.com/ . We Took the girls snorkling for about 2 hours in the lagoon.We saw alot of fish and the girls had a blast. Altho very tiring, they did great! Also we walked around this huge place and got to watch people jumping of one of their 2 story cliffs. It looked liked like fun, but we watched. Also went to this rope set up.It is two ropes, one that sits just above the water and the other is above your head so you can hold on. You basically tight rope across. While the other people are on it to they get you off balance and I almost made it all the way across but my arms and hands gave out right near the end. Kirah did awsome too, she made it half way,but there was a young woman who thought it was funny to step on the rope and swing it and made it really hard for her to complete the task. We told her to stop but she just laughed and kept being ignorant.Kirah was very upset, because she wanted to make it all the way. (the woman got hers because the guy she was with did it to her ,she begged him to stop and he didn't ,and we had the pleasure of watching her fall into the water just as she had done to Kirah). All of a sudden we realized what time it was and it was time for a mad dash back to the lockers,Close to a mile or so bare foot.
We had to run from there cause our tour bus guide said before we left they were leaving at 5pm on the nose and it would leave without you.It felt like a far run,me being out of shape thought I was going to die my side hurt so bad and I couldn't breathe.After a quick change and a potty break , We just made it to the bus in time .It was a long boring trip in the dark back to our hotel.
The kicker about his story is that before we left the hotel at 7am that morning on our way to Tulum I had come to realize a bad mistake I had made which could have be life altering........I broke down on the tour bus and started crying....... The acid in my stomache turned and I thought I was going to throw up. When we left the room in the hotel that morning, I was in the safe putting things of importance in there, like all our extra money,credit cards , passports, Licences, everything-do ya see where I'm going with this? Well the last thing I put in there was my wedding rings, I left it open so wayne could do whatever he needed to do in there before we left and payed no mind to it. So we leave for a fun filled day. UH huh...... Back to me almost throwing up.
I tell wayne the good news, He just says well, there is nothing you can do about it now. Luckily we had one credit card on us. Well, he says just enjoy the day. So I stress about this the WHOLE way to Tulum which is a good 2 1/2 hour drive. My guts are turning, every bad senerio I can think of is running thru my head.The maid is going to find the safe open and take us for everyhting we got. All kinds of stuff ran thru my head. The I try to reasure myself,I put the privacy sign up. That didn't work because the maids came in anyways on previous days. OMGosh.

Kirah andI pray together. She says mommy God watches over us,nothing bad will happen. I try to pull myself together ,your right hunny I tell her,as I wipe tears from my cheeks.

Well we get back to our hotel it's like 8:30pm we are the 2 hotel stop to let off. Wayne is walking and unconcerned, starts talking to someone on our way into the hotel,The kids and I bolted off,left him there by himself, run thru the lobby, hit the elevater , run down the hall to our room and open the door and what do I see The safe door wide open......with everything inside still there. The maid hadn't come in that day!OMGosh Talk about a heart attack!!!! I fell on my knees and thanked God for protecting us from disaster. Kirah says, see Mom I told you nothing bad would happen,God watches over us. :) My Angel. Well that is story and I'm stickin to it.

Tulum

We saw a ancient city called Tulum. It was very Beautiful and historically moving. I would have love to go to Chichen Itza for a 3 hour tour as aposed to a 1 hour at Tulum.Anyways it was a long journey on a big Martz type bus. The guide spoke very good English and was quite funny at times. This small tunnel is the entrance to the city.The rock wall was built by the Mayans. It was the wall that protected the village from invaders.Also, it was originally painted red the color of blood,as a sign of life to the people that lived within its walls.The Mayan people believed the the world was flat and to conferm that belief the other 2 Mayan cities that were on the yukatan had the same view,looked out onto the sea and they believed that it dropped off. All 3 cities were in contact with eachother and believed the every night when the sun went down, that it was in a battle against death. They celebrated the suns return every morning in the belief that death had been conquered.

OK Back to Cancun

These pics would be the hotel view. From our room we had a balcony view of the Gulf of Mexico. It was just breathtaking sometimes. The first pic is Wayne's and my favorite one. God touching the ocean. Thought it was awe inspiring.

Altho it looks like the water comes right up to the edge of the pool ,there is a small beach along the bottom that was very nice to walk along. In a previous post the girls were in the water alittle. Well onto the next faze of our trip.
